Refund & Cancellation Policy¶

This policy explains refunds and cancellations for iiq-rules-mcp licenses. It is consistent with the EULA; where a term is defined there, it has the same meaning here. It does not limit any right you have under applicable mandatory consumer law.

1. Try before you buy — the free trial¶

Every user gets a full-featured 7-day free trial, with no card required (iiq-rules-activate trial --email you@example.com). The trial exists so you can confirm the product works in your environment before paying. We encourage you to complete your evaluation during the trial.

2. Paid fees¶

Because a free trial is available for evaluation, paid license fees are non-refundable once a license term begins, except:

Our uncured material breach. If you terminate because we materially breach the EULA and do not cure it within the cure period, you receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid, unused fees (EULA §5) — this is your exclusive monetary remedy for the breach.
Rights you cannot waive. Nothing here removes a refund or remedy that applicable mandatory consumer-protection law gives you and that cannot be contracted away.
Duplicate or erroneous charges. If you were charged twice for the same license, or charged in obvious error, we refund the incorrect charge.

3. Goodwill¶

Outside the cases above, refunds are at our discretion. If something went wrong, email support@simplifyauth.com within 7 days of the charge with your license id and what happened — we review these case by case and would rather make it right than keep an unhappy customer's money.

4. How to request a refund¶

Email support@simplifyauth.com from the address on your license, including your license id (run iiq-rules-activate status to find it) and the reason. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through Razorpay; the time to appear depends on your bank/card issuer.

5. What happens when a refund is issued¶

A refunded license is revoked. It stops receiving lease renewals; on your machine, verification continues only until the current lease and its short offline grace expire, after which the license no longer produces verification results. Please stop Production Use once a refund is issued.

6. Cancellation / non-renewal¶

Individual and Team licenses are term licenses. To not renew, simply let the term lapse (or, for a self-serve Individual license, cancel any recurring payment in your Razorpay/payment records). Cancellation stops future charges; it does not by itself refund the current, already-paid term (see §2).

7. Chargebacks¶

If you have a problem, please contact us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than a bank dispute. A chargeback results in revocation of the associated license.
